Capable of handling all products, even unstable ones, Cermex’s BDS shrink wrapper with travelling sealing bar is the ideal solution for those who require compact, continuous operation high speed shrink wrap machinery.
The BDS shrink wrapper’s product collation features include a variety of infeed options: in-line (AEL), automatic right-angle (AAE), with cantilever flight bar system (CPF) and scroll with cantilever flight bar system (CPF vis), all capable of quick format changeovers. For product lapping, the travelling sealing bar of the shrink wrap machinery enables continuous machine operation at high speed while maintaining an airtight seal, while the motorized top film feeding system ensures smooth product wrapping and stability when the sealing bar descends, and hence safe handling of unstable, light-weight or stacked products.
The single product conveyor from machine infeed through to outfeed also increases product stability, while the optional 90° film reel holder facilitates quick, ergonomic film reel changeovers by the operator.
Other options in the BDS shrink wrap machinery range are the inclusion of a system to set products on a corrugated cardboard support prior to shrink wrapping, making the packs easier to palletize and stack; a shrink tunnel that can be immediately elevated in case of line stoppage in order to remove the products inside, an option that is especially suitable for flammable or heat-sensitive products; a film perforation system to create easy-open packs; and automatic programming, for user-friendly machine operation via an intuitive touch-screen for setting parameters, simplifying format changeovers and program back-up.
